At USC, I intentionally redirected my architectural work toward rigorous digital research, focusing on computational geometry, advanced fabrication logic, and the physical reality of how bodies occupy space to fill a gap in digital methodologies I felt was missing during my time at Pratt.

My thesis steadily pulled my focus downward in scale, moving from the building envelope to the articulated component and ultimately to the object held in the hand. That intentional descent from spatial architecture to tactile form became the defining bridge into industrial design.

Kissing Landscape

LACMA I 2016

Developed through parallel physical study models and digital renderings, Kissing Landscape reimagines the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as an architecture embedded directly within the site's topography. Rather than placing a monolithic object on the campus, the concept weaves building mass directly into the subterranean grades and surface contours of the ground plane. The dynamic, sweeping volumes gently converge and peel away from one another, touching the earth like fluid terrain to blur the boundary between natural grade, public park, and civic museum gallery.

The Breathing Space

Gestures I Thesis I 2016

Breathing Space investigates the shifting nature of labor in an AI-driven economy where work is decentralized and entrepreneurial activity occurs anywhere. The project establishes a spatial taxonomy based on nine contemporary behavioral postures: Take It In, The Smart Lean, The Crunch, The Cocoon, The Text, The Multi-Device, The Swipe, The Draw, and The Trance. By translating these technology- and social media-driven gestures into physical form, the proposal generates modular street-side pods configured for focus, relaxation, and collaboration. The result is a flexible urban infrastructure designed to support the dynamic work patterns of a highly mobile, tech-enabled workforce.
